I'm leaving from rifle colorado, headed out to fresno cali to get my new 74' k5. I'll post pics when I pick it up.

Yea they are having a meeting there on the impact of Oil shale drilling on the water usage there. Nice little town.

There are many guys around here if you are in need of any help, me included.
Long trips always get me worried. Let me know if I can help if things turn sour.

Cool. congrats, and yes we need lots of pics! Especially us rust belt guys so we can be jealous!:D

Coming to steal another one of our rust free rides :(

You spending some time here or is it an in and out sort of trip?

Picked it up and left right away. total time took thirty hours. I needed to sleep at four a.m. sunday morning. I left satruday at six thirty a.m. Got home sunday.

Welp, its home. Can't wait to start messing with it. drives nice. I got a bunch of extra parts with it too. He didn't tell me that he had it so that was like a surprise christmas

That was somebody's on here wasn't it? He was looking for interior parts for it last year.

oh you know him? Guess he's more interested in his chevelle now. He was on CK5. Nice guy. I got some extra interior parts, billet grill, poly bushing kit, a bunch more. I haven't gone through the boxes yet.

Ahhh so you're the one who stole that thing... I was beginning to think it would never sell. Nice buy!

not sure if i really "stole" it. I think it was a fair price for both of us. i just didn't want to deal with rust. I got it for 5k. No rust, fresh tranny rebuild on the th350 and the motor is strong. I'm happy with it.

Damn, that's nice. Good score even for $5K. If I had it in SoCal I would make it a wheeler and turn my '72 back into original condition. Nothing like a full 'vert, smog exempt wheeler in CA.

what are u planning on doing to it? personally id leave it as original as i could.

frame off resto. I'll keep the steel tub, sand blast and pant it. I'm buying a fiberglass tub but I'm not doing anything too extreme ass far as off roading. It'll get babied. My 85' is what I'm gonna crawl, and trail drive.
