Pickup tool boxes, What have you got ?

heres mine...

two big azz ammo cans from a gun show... bolted to the bed, primed and herculined on the outside, rattle-can rubberized stuff on the inside. A couple of steel u-bolts with nuts and washers and two padlocks and they are lockable too. If you look close you can see the u-bolts (they are blue from tool-dip, keeps rattles down) in the pic... there are no padlocks cause I remove them when offroading.

UNITED WELDING SERVICE now I figured it out  I never heard of that name before.. But it seems that a few of you have and like that brand..

Nice looking stepside :saweet: .. Thanks for the pics.. I like that side shot I can see that box pretty good :D

Heres mine. Its just an old heavy plastic box that I bought 8 years ago and has just been out in the barn collecting dust. I cut the bottom out to house my fuel cell. This helps keep mud off, which is a real pain when she needs a refill. It also houses my transmission cooler, transmission fan, external transmission filter, and Transmission Temp sender. Turned out pretty good I thought, gave the old toolbox a home.

I got mine from Sams Club about 4 years ago. It was $160. It worked pretty good other then when I flexed the truck the lid would pop open. So I just took some 3/8 aluminum rod and bent them into a U shape, then Twisted them, welded them to the lid, and made some more U shapes and welded them to the box. Then when I shut the lid the twisted U's fit down into the ones on the box. Then I got a set of combination locks that are the same and put them on both sides. Those seem a little harder to break into then the other style. I also bolted the box down with four 9/16 bolts inside so you have to open the box and take all the stuff out to yank the box out.(the propane tanks sits where the box is now, and the box sits behind the wheel well and faces the other way.)

I figured UWS out but when I put TSC truck box in the search I didn't get the same results. :doah: . They just have opened a Tractor Supply close to here but I haven't been there yet..
