*Pics* Is this normal? Who has installed a gear drive?

What you have pictured is correct. You have to remember one thing, the only reason there are 2 small gears is because one is the driven gear and the other is an idler gear to keep the driven gear in place when the engine is not running. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Ok, thanks alot guys. I just wanted to make sure it was normal for that amount of backlash before I threw it the rest of the way together. I don't want to mess up a new motor.

The Cloyes gear drive didn't have any other ways to adjust the degree of the cam, but the other one did. So, right now I have the Cloyes on there set up the only way it can be pretty much.

Again, thanks all. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Did you mention this was off a BBC? What's happening with it? Is it for sale? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
