A customer of mine was redoing his van to take camping and to haul his gear in and all. I know I sold him 4 gallons, but I'm not sure how much he sprayed in it. He said it sprayed great, he's extremely happy with it so far.

This was with the standard Al's Liner, not the Al's Sound Deadener.

:D

wow that looks sweet. i may be buying some of this soon...it looks far superior to herc or any other DIY brand

much better.....now I see all the pics.....

Do you have any floor coatings or suggestions for a good floor coating.

I want a smooth, not slick sealed concrete floor for my garage.

We don't sell any garage coatings through our retail store, that's all on our install side of things.

Your best bet would be an epoxy coating, that would give you a really smooth finish. The best we've heard of for DIY is the stuff you buy at the Sherwin-Williams store. Nothing is as good as the commercial stuff, but that's one of the best DIYer kits.

Blaze,
I live in Henderson and would like to know what i need to spray my K5 with the same stuff. I have a 26 gallon compressor.
How much would the material cost?
Thanks

Do you have any pics of the sound deadener stuff sprayed on? How thick is the buildup? I am pondering pulling the carpet out of the tub of my K5 and spraying the interior. I want something with some sound deadening properties. My wife says my blazer is too loud now...

Are you going to put the carpet back in it? Regular Al's Liner has great sound deadening properties, too. The Al's Sound Deadener is a lot better due to the rubber crumb additive, but it also has a rougher texture since it is meant to be under the carpet.

Here's a pic of the Al's Sound Deadener sprayed in a customer's 95 Z28.

Can I get some more info on the commercial stuff.

I had my interior LINE X'd and am happy with it. but I was curious about your sound deadening stuff, you say it has more rubber stuff in it. How is this effected by heat and the hot summers some places get. Will it get gooey and sticky. I think Rino lining tends to get this way. Ive had my LIne X for a year or so and it doesnt do that.

Al's material doesn't have any rubber in it, it is pure polyurethane. The rubber in the Sound Deadener is an additive that is kind of like a shredded car tire, very tough rubber that doesn't get gooey or sticky.

I'm down in NC, and last summer in 100deg heat the Al's Liner in our shop truck was as hard as it always is. The rubber stays very hard in higher temperatures. We use smaller quantities mixed in with one of our industrial coatings to create non-skid surfaces and it never gets goey or sticky no matter how hot it gets outside.

How hard is this stuff to clean? Both the regular and the sound deadening. I would like to use this instead of the carpet.

The regular is really easy, just use some vinyl cleaner or regular soap and water. The sound deadener is a little tougher since it is a rougher surface, but still can be cleaned in the same manner.

Do you have pics of an exterior done? I have considered this but don't as t the rough texture that the inside would have. I want it to look like paint but gave the toughness of line-x. Or in this case Als liner

I actually don't have a picture of it sprayed on an exterior. You can get it smoother by varying the way you spray, but you'll never get it totally smooth. It would be a rippled texture like a standard bedliner.

Hmmmm. What do you think rough estimate cost would be and what colors could I do?

For a K5? I'd say 3-4 gallons for good coverage and thickness. For every 4+ gallon order I include a free gun.

Three gallons with CK5 member discount: $300
Four gallons with CK5 member discount and free gun: $340

We offer it in 11 standard colors: black, tan, grey, blue, brown, green, maroon, purple, red, yellow, and Harley-Davidson orange.

You can also use automotive tint to make it any color you'd want. :D

It would not be as smooth as Line-X. Line-X does not have texture like Al's does.

And it is guaranteed not to fade, it'll stay the color you spray. Line-X will chalk and fade over time.

Let me get in touch with the manufacturer and see if they have any pics of it sprayed on an exterior.
