These are dually axles in my K5 w/ Hummer rims...

iirc they fit ass is but the front is 1.5" or 2" different width than the front.

not too bad, could always have spacers

Pooh...
I feel sorry for the trees :D

I cant tell from your pic... how far do they stick out beyond the wheel wells? any issues of clearance or scrub at full lock?

I see hummer wheel sets on ebay for about 500... 4 new wheels and bfg's )takeoffs... anything I should watch out for?)

thanks for the pics... nice trail rig

paying too much like that!!

are you getting h2 alum wheels?

some people on here had been selling the hi surplus rims for cheaper than that.

EDIT

did a search and found diy4x was selling some at 300 a set with the 37" mil tires and runflats.

i remember a member out of texes that was selling the wheels and run flats for something like 50 bucks a pop

I was looking at h2 17 inch alloys for my street truck ...tow rig...
4 wheels and 35 bfgs like new take offs at around 500.... seemd like a great deal

didnt want h1 run flats

am I off base?

thanks

H1 wheels have the big backspacing. That is why they work on the dually axles.

H2 wheels fit just like any other Chevy 8-lug SRW type wheel.

ah yeah your way off, never mind the links, you can get the wheels and slap them on.

the only assosation that the h2 has with the hummer is the name gm payed to use

Now Im getting somewhere....

do they make h1 rims in alloys like the h2.... all I saw in alloy was h2 stuff... and the offset wouldnt be right for a dually axle

Cam, iirc the h1 rims are 7.25 bs Just swap the hubs on your 60 and trade me your 70 for my 14ff :D
Bret

hey... bretski... how about some nice 10 bolts :eek1:

cam :D

thanks for the spacing info... my 70 is the same as your 14b btw

Yeah, my rig has been know to rub a tree or two in the past... but hey, JEEP trail my A$$.
The tires don't stick out any further than they did w/ stock axles and a 10" wide rim. They don't hit or interfere w/ anything at full lock. They are perfect. Rearend is about 2" narrower track than the front which is about what they are stock as well. If you put H2 wheels on the dually axles they will stick WAY out, but you can physically do it, but add about another 4" of width per side.
They did make aluminum H1 wheels, but they are EXPENSIVE and hard to find. White-Rhyno just took his H1 wheels and had them powdercoated in 2 different colors and they are beautiful... I was WAY to cheap for that, so I just rattle caned mine.
In another month or 2 I am going to be parting out my rig... axles, tires, wheel, etc... so let me know what the 12 bolt H1 rims are going for w/ the beadlocks and runflats!!!

pooh...

whats your opinion about beadlocks... and runflats for a street truck tow vehicle... Im limited to 16.5 tires,,, not great... h1 wheels are cheap... but condition might be speculative as to how they were "used" now that so much surplus stuff is coming back from theatre
do they balance ok... etc,,, do you need the runflats as a part of the h1 wheel or can they be eliminated?
Since Im close to Stockton Wheel Ive been looking at having a set made in the size and backspacing I want... spendy yes,,, but still keeps the truck stock if I want to return it to same..... maybe I might even spring for a set of super single 19.5's.... tow rig dream tires

You don't have to run the beadlocks or the runflats on the H1 wheels... you could just mount them up and run them. I have never tried to balance mine, so I can't help ya there. I got my wheels from my brother, and he ran them on his H1 w/ 38's and they were balanced.

Pooh...
Balance to a trail rig mean not falling off the big rock into the 1000 foot gorge below :D

thanks for the info

PS I would love to confirm rooferbret was right on the backspacing....

8 on 6.5.... BS of?

Rooferbret is right, H1 wheel backspacing is 7.25".
