so far I havent got the BACKSPACING confirmed....
is it 7.25?
I spoke with stockton wheel this morning and asked him about a custom set... he said he has done over 1000 wheels for dually to single conversions... he spec'd out 4.5 for backspacing... said it about centers the rear wheel over the hub...
I didnt want to tell him... hey h1 rims have a backspacing of 7.25 and they look just right ...if I dont know for sure what Im talking about...
can someone with H1 rims take a look for me and measure so I can be accurate in what I tell him.
yes the backspacing is 7.25. My tires stick out from the fender just an inch or so but i also have 14.5 inch wide tires on 8.75 inch wide wheels. also i know a guy selling hummer beadlocks with runflats and the 36 inch military tires(used condition) for 50 bucks each ya thats 200 for four not the 300 or more everyone else wants although shipping is a factor.
thanks for the tips...
Im really looking at doing some 19.5 super singles... for load and tire wear... they average 100k plus miles on decent ones... just what i need for a tow rig..
16.5 is too limiting in tire choice and as spendy as 19.5's in radials...
military tires wont cut it for an over the road tow rig where higher speed safety etc is an issue... on a trail rig its obviously less important ...
im running my H1's on a SRW 14b and a SRW 60 with dually hubs on it. my front width is like 84" and my rear is 78". turns really tight for what it is though.
