Here ya go buddy.
he must be a noobie here is this question again
It's called search. Look into it.
here is mine and a couple of others
Wow, I remember when mine had nice blue paint like that, now it has nice green paint like this
Not a blazer but still green.
Looks alot like a blazer from straight on though .
Sorry bout that heres another .
Blue '73 K-10 is my wife's.................
Green '73 K-5 is mine...............
I know it looks black, but it's the original 1989 midnight blue... still going strong.
Your search like many I have done has dead links to the pics.
Oh and YES, I am a paying member.
Search is really cool and I try to burn it up as much as I can. But it is not always as effective as one might think.
Just my $.02 worth.
one more for ya.
he problem with this is that oer half of the pics are no longer there. I was going to ask to see some blue paint jobs mysef here in a few weeks. Now I wont have to.
I love that midnight blue. I think it may have been GM's best color for these trucks. I think that's the color mine will be.
(hijack) I know little about paint, but can you go to a store and say, "I want the midnight blue from a 1989 K5" and they hand you the right color, or do you need to know the paint code?
That is a sweet looking K5.
probably need a paint code.
This paint is original... so I'd have to guess about getting it. I would think if you asked for midnight blue it would be the same or close enough. Might want to give the local dealership a call and ask someone in the body shop though. They might have the code, or an idea. Then just buy the paint from wherever you planned to get it.
I like the midnight blue... but it is a bit dark. Even in the sunlight sometimes it still looks black.. probably due to dust etc. If it was just a little more blue, and less black it would be better IMHO. I think if I could have any factory color combo it would be this one, I always liked them.
