With the tierod above and behind the axle I had to decide what to do to get the ram mounted for the hydro assist. I decided to make a bracket and go that route. Took me all day, but I got it done and all bolted together tonight. I built 3 of them before I got one I liked. This one wraps around the axle and is welded on, with a side brace... and it bolts to the side of the spring plate as well where the old sway bar used to go (has about a 2" spacer in there) Here are a few pics.

looks good. Im gonna have to do the same thing when I relocate my tie rod. I am already running the WFO arms... just waiting for the 52" spring swap and shock relocation before I get to the hydro. Anway, good job! :)

yall arnt having trouble with the tierod hitting the springs with the 52's??
My 52's have the overload removed and replaced w/ a thin leaf from a set of Skyjacker springs, and then a THIN 0 rate/shim. I have about an inch or more of clearance between the spring and the tierod. Before I messed w/ the spring pack and had a regular add a leaf in I did have issues.

Yeah, I have made some pretty shady stuff in the (not so distant) past...

Is the 1" of clearance with it flexed??

Nope. It gets less, but from what I can make it flex sitting in the shop I can't make it touch now. I will find out in a few weeks when I get this thing out of the shop FINALLY! It has only been about 6 months...

In the second pic with the piece installed I can see a future problem for you. I'm not trying to be an ass, but I think your bracket is gonna bend where it meets the spring plate. I would add a gusset on the backside to the spring plate. A piece of tubing would be ideal, and you wouldn't need to weld the gusset to the spring plate either...under pressure it'll jam into the spring plate and stop it from bending.

Without the gusset if you get into some big rocks the plate could bend before the tires move (if they're up against a big rock)

Thanks for the suggestion. I thought about that when I built it, but then after more contemplating I think it will be ok. The bottom ram mount is only about 3/8 of an inch above the bolt, and the plate is 3/8". That means that the ram would have to push hard enough to basically bend 3/8" plate RIGHT at the top of the bolt.
It may bend, we will see... but I look at it one way, I have never been afraid of breaking parts on my rig so let 'er fly and see what happens!

Yeah, I had those made at the spring shop and I have had the frontend in and out so many times that I didn't want to trim them down until I make sure that I have everything where it needs to be.
 I knew that somebody would mention the Ubolts!! I can't believe it wasn't in the 1st 3 or 4 replys!!

LOL... You sum' bish!! ...at least one of us got to use it! I will either get it back from you or you can just get me a different one... whatever you want to do.

shouldn't you be working or something:D I'll just give you your stuff back, don't know when I'll get around to putting mine back together (...a week before Memorial Day most likely.)
