well, i just got back from this mud hole/trails that we go to often...it was pretty bad today and the canyon got stuck pretty badly. i had to yank him about 5 or 6 times just to budge him. the mud grapplers did awesome!!!! i couldn't believe how great they cleaned out...once you get em spinnin, they really get er done!!!

sorry...no action pics...but these were takin on our way out of the trails.

here are the specs on the canyon...my shop lifted it about 2or 3 months ago
34x10.50 LTB's of 15x8 streetlocks
4in Skyjacker
3in BL
and the little engine that could...a 4cyl. basically he has to use 4LO eveywhere.

enjoy:

Yeah nice looking truck. Nobody around hear has lifted one yet.

Are those 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton axles? And although I love seeing a clean truck all dirty, where are those daylight shots you promised us? :p:

Clean Canyon by the way, although it would look better with some more tire under there (duh). :D

im runnin 1/2 ton axles...but have the rear and 8lug conversion to go 3/4 ton...hopefully next weekend or so it'll be 8lug....

as for the grapplers...they're 38x15.50x15's and they are loud as hell...but ride great, and have only put about 400miles on them so far. haha...

the canyon is the only lifted one around here and believe it or not...those tires ALMOST rub. canyons aren't blessed with large wheelwells. my shop lifted that canyon for one of my best friends and he loves it!!! i cut that thing up with only 2k miles on it oh yeah!

and for the daylight pics...i have ALOT that i took after i washed/waxed her and i will start a new thread with them either tonight or tomm. im off to the pizza place to pick up supper for me and the gal friend. and we're going to "hang-out" after that if you know what i mean.

not positive on the gears as i just got the truck but if i had to geuss i'd say 4.10 or 4.56 since i cruise at 75MPH at 2500RPM

...but before this truck, i had a half ton 01 on 37's and wheeled the hell out of it...never a problem with the 10bolt rear w/ 4.88's and only lost a CV once on the front... that is where i get my courage from. not to mention mud isn't that hard on trucks IMHO it just takes alot of tire spin...unlike rocks, where you can just "grab" and get traction and break ****.

nope...4 or 5cyl....i would know...my dad sold it to my buddy..haha. either motor is underpowered IMO and can't compare with the ole s10's...especially the zr2's.

It sucks how the 34's are almost rubbing right now...

Hypothetically thinking, couldn't you romve the old rear wheel wells, and weld in some from a chevy full size pick-up?? As for the front, could you do the same thing again? just cut, and swap? or is it setup that neither of these operations could be done??
