Looking for pics of a 86' body style chevy front end narrowed. ALso some info on how you did it would be nice too. I was looking at mine today and I thought of a easy way to do it to where it would still look good I would just have to buy new lights for the front instead of using the stock ones.

I thought I had a better Pic, but here is an 84 or 85

you can see where he cut right after the blazer emblem. and just cut so many inches out of the rad. support and welded everything back up.

Thanks for the pic. That front end is just like mine. This may be a stupid questions but why would you have to cut the side fenders? Do they have to be made longer?

with as little as he narrowed it he did not have to make them longer. He just basically cut the fenders where you see, took out "x" amount out of the rad support and moved in the fender and welded everything back up.

Well I started tearing into it and I started by removing the front clip and just looking at how everything is. I wanted to try to find a way to have the front grille and headlights be able to easily bolt back up to look normal. I am gonna end up removing 6" from each side. I have the passenger side of the core support shortened. There really isnt a way to get everything to line back up smoothly so it will look bad with the hood open but with the hood closed everything should look stock just 12"s narrower. I have the fender bolted back up to the cab minus the inner fenderwell. Now my question is how do I go about pulling that fender in 6"s? I was looking and I think that the inner skin of the fenders need to be cut so that it can fold. Is that right? I will try to get some pics of my progress soon.

If you don't want to completly cut the fender (what I did) was cut the full length of the inner fender, then I cut a little 4" slice on the outer right where the curve goes up and at the very top of the fender---kinda hard to explain in words.

these are the best pics

outer at the curve (right at teh top of the crease is the top of the cut.
