x2 on the black top. Slap some black wheels on as well (or paint yours) and you've got my favorite color combo

i LOVE that color! might have to do a muscle car that color some day. I vote for a gray or white top. I don't like black tops much, unless on black trucks, because they look too heavy for the body (in terms of color mass - not weight). The exception for me is soft tops - which look great black. :wink1:

I agree/dissagree with colby and ryoken... kinda... I would paint the top dark gray. The green looks tits though:waytogo:

what sorta setup are u using to paint? looks great and i vote black top too

Cheap HVLP gun I got from the local parts house and my Crapsman air comp. The color, clear, reducers, catalysts, and primer cost me about $300. I figure with that and all the sandpaper I've bought and a few cans of self etch primer, probably got close to $500 in it. I did the rustoleum roll on paint job (looked like crap). Sanded it down did a rustoleum spray on job (looked like crap). Sanded it down and finally decided to do it right. The prep is where all the work is but it makes all the diff. This is my first time painting a vehicle and if I can do it, anyone can do it. Thanks for all the compliments.

My main concern w/ going black on the top is the dang heat during the summer here. I'm swapping in a 6.0 after the paint so I won't have a/c. Figure a lighter colored top would help not get as hot in the truck. Maybe somebody would be interested in donating a cage and I'll just leave the top off:rolleyes::D

Summer heat= no top, that's why you bought a convertible truck right? :haha:

obviously a hard top is better in a roll than no top, but don't count on it to save your ass in a real roll. ;) bring it up this way, we'll build one up for ya! :D

Looks aweseome. Love the color.

How about a top the same color as the body?....
