i would like to see some pics of rear shock setups for 14" travel shocks for ideas.

This is my set up for 12".

I have my 15" travel shocks mounted in the stock location. It was supposed to be temporary, but it works out to ~5" up travel and the rest is droop which is perfect for my 56's and shackle flip.

i was worried about the 5" up travel, thats what i currently have. will this bottom out when flexed pretty hard? the way mine is set up is very similar to the pic above but its actually the no longer made missouri offroad outfitters over the top shock mounts. i have several ways i can mount them but i was told to mount them on the outer most locations (as vertical as possible). i do street my truck alot. i'm just looking for the best way to mount them. i thought about moving the upper crossmember into the bed so that i have 7" of up & down travel. what do you fellas think about that?

I was running 5" up travel in the pics. My front has 15" shocks with 4" up. I am linking the rear now and will be setting it up with about 4" up. I drove it on the street with the set up in the pics with no issues.

i think i will give it a shot as it is & see how it handles. i installed the shock setup while i'm working on my new engine so i havent been able to wheel it yet. thanks for the info.

good to know this works, i was thinking of doing the same thing as a temp. but might just leave it!

Yeah at 5" up travel my springs are flat so I just bump-stopped them at that point, and everything works great.
