Micah,

I love to see y'all's (yep.... I'm originally from Tx too /forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif) photos... and as pointed out - you guys are getting some magnanamous (is that a word.../forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif) flex out of those trucks!/forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

But.... Please.... Please focus your efforts on getting some rollcages in these trucks!.... 'specially carryin' the little ones around.

Tell you what.... I'll buy the first 12 pack of beer for your "Cage" party.. Just bill me. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

those that were with me will tell you, i turned down the obstacle that could have put me into a roll. I wasn't risking my son for fun. Also, my style is slow and steady... no gas romping for me so i have a better chance of keeping it under control.

on the other hand, i do have my smitty built cage in the garage ready to go in... just need to get on it!

man...what an ugly truck /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

did you or p-diddy have any trouble with front brakelines while fully flexed?

[/ QUOTE ]

actually, i couldn't say... never checked. /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

Micah = 14" travel shocks on F-250 towers up front
Micah = 14" travel mounted inwards in the rear.

[/ QUOTE ]

my es9000's are 15 inch travel... i just couldn't swing spending the dough for those Rancho's just for another inch

[ QUOTE ]
Are you running some sort of a center drop brake line, or just really long extended lines?

[/ QUOTE ]

no, we just got the longest extended steel lines we could find.... i think they were from 4WP and the application was for 12 inch lifts.

[ QUOTE ]
was that one dude on the cover of four wheeler this month?

[/ QUOTE ]

yup, the dude that busted his rear 10 bolt.

how could he even consider hardcore weeling with 38's and a 10 bolt?!? /forums/images/graemlins/screwy.gif

I think he was running 36's.

I'm sooooo ready to get my K5 built up, so I can take it out there.

/forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif

Great shots, guys. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

In the magazine article he claims it to be cheaper to replace axles then to do a swap...I dont see how /forums/images/graemlins/screwy.gif bust 2 axles or more and you might as well have had a 14bolt swapped in for that price...as for the front tho, I could see the money savings over a 60 to just keep replacing axles...but its gotta get old after a while /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

He has a shop / garage about 20 minutes away. He had his wife (?) go to the shop and get an axle, RTV, and gear oil. About 1.5 hours total and he met up with us down the trail. From the sounds of it he has plenty of spares but this is the first one he has broken in 8 months of wheeling with this set up.

Note: I could have some details a littl messed up but you get the picture!

I was just reading the magazine article about this truck...he has welded spools front and rear for his 10 bolts /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif /forums/images/graemlins/screwy.gif is running 36"tires a stock700r4 w/208 t case and 3.42 gears...dunno bout you guys but that tranny/gear combo is crying to be burned up /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif

It's nice having the shop 20 minutes away, but I can't believe he doesn't carry a spare shaft in the truck......

I am sure he will upgrade as money allows. Trashing his setup is not necessary nor very kind of a fellow wheeler. There are plenty of us on here watching this thread that are his friends/aquaintances.

Where were you on Saturday? He was out wheeling and having a good time with what he has! Kuddo's to him /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif

No kidding, I get tired of reading posts with negative remarks about people's setups. There is a reason people still run 10 bolts, as do I in the front. Some people have other bills or family to put before their toys.

Now about the pictures, /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif /forums/images/graemlins/woot.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif /forums/images/graemlins/woot.gif
Very awesome wheeling pics and some serious mad flex in those rigs!
