Looking for pics of what you guys have done for shock mounts with front D60 moved 1" forward. It's for a dd and I'm planning for some nice smooth 4" Alcans for my old bones. The springs will be ordered from ORD. Thanks in advance.

On my 1990 K5 I have the Dana 60 moved 1.5" forward and I am just using the OEM quad shock mount.

Octane, your right - about halfway through on page 25 pics are there. Nice job. I was thinking something along that style too.

82355 (hmmm.....is that a prisoner #?) - If I don't have to move my shock mounts that is great. I'm starting to wonder maybe the extra angle on the shock isn't going to be an issue. I thought ideally they should be nearly vertical, but maybe I'm over thinking it?

I don't think the angle would be bad. Look at the rear, think that has more angle....

What's nice about 82355's setup is it uses factory shock mounts. The second shock in a "Quad shock" setup is much more vertical than the standard one. Grabbing a couple quad shock mounts, moving the axle forward, and mounting a single shock in that upper mount sounds good enough to me. :D

The quad shock route sounds like a good plan.
I've never seen factory quad shock mounts, but I have heard of them (snow plow package?). Hard option/pieces to come by?

I have seen more of the late model rigs with quad shocks, than I have seen without.

I set up my Ford towers with the axle in the stock position. Then I got ORD springs which moved the axle forward. I never did anything to the shocks and everything works fine.

I'm using the ford shock towers and my axle is moved 1.5" forward. If you go that route, you can move the mount to get your shock angle where you want it.
