Anyone have a pic or two of a Warn Classic mounted on a Suburban or Blazer? Post up! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif Cousin wants to see some.

Be sure you also show him the amount of body damage that they cause if you bump one into something. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif The center section of those bumpers is very strong, but the outer sections are quite flimsy. On impact, the end will twist up and waste the fender. /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif

These bumpers do suck. It wasnt long before I had bent the ends out.

They do look good though. Just worthless for real usage.

Is there anything in Kansas that you even could hit? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif Go play in the rocks and you'll be ready to take the Sawzall to the bumper on Day 1. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

You would be surprized at what there is in kansas. Here is a little taste. With some bracing the ends aren't so flimzy. but I did put just kidding after it last time

Avoid mashing the ends and the middle is plenty strong............tho I know the current trend is to mash and mangle /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I like that Bob............. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

That's what I was planning on doing. Along with re-using the stock bumper. This is kind of a hijack but are the frame-rails about the same width apart in an '89 as a '71? /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

That is an awesome mount job! Not my choice of mounting, but I REALLY like the way it look on that rig!

This is a slightly modified Warn Classic. The outers have .188 plates on the top instead of the junk sheet metal plates that come with the bumper and it also has been raised 1". Once I put a winch in it I am going to modify the outers and make it even stronger.
