So judg'n by your pic your only supposed to weld on those certian points on the plate? Not a single continous bead all the way around?

Right. If you weld the whole thing all around and it just so happed to crack, it would crack the whole bead.......This is what ive been told. Its been on there for like 5-6 years now and its been perfect.
BTW--I wheel the piss out of my blaze.
