I've destroyed the throw-out bearing. Maybe 1k miles on a Hays unit:D

I blame the fact that for the longest time my Z-bar was missing one of the plastic retainers that limits how far it can "walk" side to side. And due to not having it, the bar would pop off and everything would come loose.

I need to get this put together correctly. I pulled everything yesterday and replaced the bearing got it all back together put the seat back in today and before I get out of the drive-way every-thing comes apart again Due to me mis-aligning the push-rod.

The procedure I've been doing is this:

1. push fork/bearing onto pressure plate.
2. Adjust pushrod to just touch fork.
3. Place spring from from fork to z-bar. ( I now know it's supposed to be on the z-bar rollpin thing.
4. Spring from the fork pulling it forwards (throw-out bearing backwards) to a hole just hehind the brake hose.

When this was *correct* the clutch would engage the second I let the pedal up at all.

I'd really like some pictures of set-ups that have been used for a while that stayed together. Unlike mine:doah:

These aren't the greatest pics, but I tried to get all the parts at different angles. Hope they help. Sorry about all the oil. The last ride sucked the intake gasket that led to alot of oil out the breathers.:eek1:

Here's a few more. Sorry if any are repeats. My brain gets a little scrambled at times!
