Here is my 97 GMC loaded after getting back from Moab this week. I weighed the combo today and with full tank of fuel, various spare parts, toolbox, welder, floor jack, small set of torches, and spare tires for trailer and trucks it totalled 15,240#. Blazer alone weighs 5600# without me.

Yea ok, whatever. Been hearing that all week. You make it sound like you did a lot of driving this week or something! /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif

Cool... do you have any pics or info on the rig? Looks like you cut the rear top off like the fullsize K5s? Did you have to lengthen the front clip to fit the LT1? What about wheelbase? You just built your own body mounts wherever they were required?

Thanks.
Mike

I don't have any pics posted on the web yet.

I did cut the roof of and had a "fastback" style softtop made for it.

You probably wouldn't have to lengthen the front clip for an LT1, but the body does fit better on the fullsize frame. If you used the S-10 frame, I don't think I would lengthen the front clip for an LT1 or any small block.

Wheelbase is still 106.5" stock Blazer.

Yes I built and/or modified the body mounts and frame mounts as needed.

I have some pics of it at Indy....somewhere... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
