Picture Request - Trucks On 40\" Or So Tires With Little Backspacing

I'm thinking about having some 15x8 2.5 BS 8 Lugs made

I plan to run 39.5 IROKS or 39.5 TSL Bias

I'd like to see if anyone is running a wide 38, 40, 42 inch tire on 3, 2.5, or 2 inch backspacing

Lift doesnt matter as long as whatever truck it is has a full width front clip for reference

Front shots please

I'd like to see if it looks rediculous and where it might hit the fenders

Thank you for your patience, I'm going back to wade through the members galleries

Well I don't have any pics, but i'm running 18x39's on a 15"x 14"wide alcoa rim & if I had to geuss they only have about a two inch backspace. They stick out past the fenders probally 12"? This k5 has a 12" lift,NO body lift and the tires will still hit at the rear corner of the front fender, just trying to go through a small ditch,I figure bushwacker cut-out flares should solve the problem. But I'm also toying with the idea of setting the truck down to 6 or 8"s of lift with smaller tires. The truck was this way when I bought it.I personally think it looks good, but it's not real practical.Hope this helps you some,Bruce.

Mind if I ask where you are gonna have those rims made? I want to run a 2.5" back spacing with my 39.5 IROKs, and 15x8s would be perfect cause later I will install Rockstomper beadlocks.

I don't know if it helps any because I'm running 35's and 16.5's but they are 14 inches wide and I have about 3.5" backspacing. At least help you see how wide they will stick out.

I love 2.5, very little grinding for calipers and I can still fully stuff the tires /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

A 15x8 rim with 2.5" BS will stickout the same as a 15x10 rim with 4.5" BS...in other words, not much.

front..

6 inch bds, d60 provides another inch too

rear, 2.5 inch skyjacker springs, and echo bit flip

cab..3 inch body lift... /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif

The bodylift helped me stay soft and still get clearence so I dont hate it very much, I now dont have it on the core support though, just the cab. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
