I know there are a lot of info regarding drum to disk conversion on a 14 Bolt FF. Anyone have good pictures of their setup showing hard line and E-brake cables? I have searched for hours and having difficulty locating them.

What can you source those little mechanical calipers from? It seems like I could machine a rotor from some tiny car to fit on the driveshaft flange - but it has to be well balanced.

Just use plate steel, not like you need some special super awesome steel for a emergancy brake.

I have recently aquired a 14 bolt ff, and I am in the mist of refurbing and upgrading it slowly. I will install it in the summer, then the new transmission, and then the ls motor.

My 14 bolt I have located locally from a buddy, the plates that allow me to use front rotors from a 1980 3500, I can get a loaded set of calipers from autozone for less then $90. I only have to cut and drill my adapters from plate steel. I will be using an electric brake line lock for an emergancy brake. I am hoping all will work out for a manual transmission, I will need something for parking.

When I get my plates cut and drilled hopefully in the next few weeks I can get them installed and bend some lines. I don't know if my schedule will fit into yours, but when I get there I will post them here.

I went with a hydro-lock inline with my brake line. It locks the rear brakes. I don't have the redundancy of a mechanical system, but I guess I can't have everything

They look like the same TSMs I have.

Well I went the cheap way several years ago and just used front calipers, but eventually I want to have a functional parking brake again. Was just curious, I can't tell kit from kit they all look the same to me. that's why I asked. :haha:

I've had both.

The caddie spring is on the lever arm. The TSMs use the one you see in the photo.

Remans wont come with the levers and springs.
That is way I went with the TSM ones.

This is what I used for my kit.
DIY4X brackets
TSM calipers
ORD long brake lines for the axles
New rotors from Auto Zone
New ebrake cables form Control Cables
