Pictures of DRW trucks, work’n trucks, etc…

We have a winner folks !

If GMC would have used that in a commercial they would have NEVER been able to deny a warranty claim.

Now, what about the four movie tow trucks in the tow truck post ?
I think I recognized one or 2 tow trucks but couldn't remember where.
I will take another look.
I want to say one of them should be cooter's truck from dukes of hazard

Orville's from the movie any which way you can with clint Eastwood and the orangutan, I think, or the other one before.
Can't remember for sure.

The old Ford was Orville’s truck from the ‘78 movie “Every which way but loose” and the ‘69 C-30 wrecker was Orville’s wrecker from the ‘80 sequel “Any which way you can”.
That ‘69 C-30 truck was also used in “The Dukes of Hazzard” ans Crazy Cooters ride along with that bumpside Ford F-350 ( different years of the show ).

Now, who can come up with the yellow tow truck movie ?!?
Here’s a hint - the movie was frigg’n HILARIOUS !

Porky's

A few bigger Fords along with older 4WD F-600’s.

Included a couple of dash pics on the bigger F-series - IMO way better look’n than the smaller trucks got.
If I had an old dent-side I believe that I would swap it out.

I didn’t want to be picky but yes.
While Martin Riggs (Mel Gibson) famously hooks a cable from his truck to the stilts and dramatically pulls the house down the mountainside, the actual Garcia House was never destroyed. The production team built a full-scale, life-sized replica on a studio lot specifically for the explosive stunt, leaving the real-life architectural marvel completely intact.

Totally worth the effort of building a replica just for that one stunt !

Don’t know what motor was originally spec’d in this F-600 fire department truck ( I assume diesel ) but the 3K tach limit tells us something.

I am liking these medium duty big Ford dash clusters !
