Pictures of DRW trucks, work’n trucks, etc…

That pic with the pallet in back would be a good one lol

I forgot to put my old truck in the mix !

Bought it bone stock in 1994 ( it’s an ‘83 GMC K-3500 ) and it had great running gear - 454 / 465-205 with 4.56’s.

The first thing I purchased for it was a H.D. Dana 70 Detroit Locker - because it should be law that all trucks come equipped with all the rear wheels pulling.

Soon it had two stacks of Super Lift H.D. 8” springs upfront ( I was young and didn’t know any better…) and a double stack of 56” packs out back with a Dodge application rear block ( again, young and dumb was my only excuse ).
Next was six 38x12.50 Super Swamper TSL’s.

Lost the stock motor by dunking it under water out in the swamp on an old logging trail that got real deep.
Motor # 2 was a nice solid roller cam 454 setup - 238/246 @.050 .595/.615 lift on a 108* with proper forged pistons and a set of 781’s with one of NVRENUF’s Predator carbs on it.
Bought a McCloed dual disc clutch and flywheel setup to go along with the new motor.

It was a blast but there’s no doubt that motor did not belong in a crew cab so ole John and I swapped motors and went mud racing in his ‘80 K-10 and became king of the rednecks in multiple states deep pit mud races - good times !

that tierod is wearing a frown!

that tierod is wearing a frown!
Yeah, I went through a few of those.
That particular day I got stuck on one of them logging trails and as the front axle dug downwards the steering rod ended up resting on a submerged stump causing the bow.

Another time I put John’s 40” Boggers on some wide ( 12” or 14” ? John will know ) Monster Wheels on the DRW D60 hubs and turned that rod into an “S” shape.
We were try’n to get a wider tire up front for better floatation in the swamp but to no avail - the weight of the crew cab was still dominant over wider tires.

But it was fun !

They were 12’s I think but holy crap that thing was wide on the dually hubs!

A few more F-600/700 Fords for those few that are into them - I don’t know why but I’ve always liked their look.

That was funny when we were in some deep ruts coming out of the swamp and you had your head out the passenger window yelling “cut the wheel to the right” and I had my head outta the drivers window yelling “I am turning to the right” and we both looked at each other because we knew something had broke !
