Pictures of DRW trucks, work’n trucks, etc…

Yeah, they’re cool. But imagine a world where they don’t break cranks and have a block that can take some boost.
I'm just talking mild driving bone stock.
Most lived through that.
The few I've been close to anyway.

Me too.

If they would have built stronger from factory a guy could keep them stock or add something. At less than a small fortune than iceman’s talking about.

Original comment was in response to tarusell talking about Isuzu diesels who GM currently uses in their trucks, it was an imaginary scenario where bean counters and EPA left their hands off the original design.

Wasn’t bashing the 6.2 or anything like that.

tarusell back to you and duallies.

Late to the party, but were CUCV tow trucks a thing? Like did the military actually have some with tow bodies? This thread is the first I’ve seen that?

Oh I agree.
That is why I gave that example where bean counters were pushed aside and salesmen got a product they can sell.
Too rich for my blood but something worth the price of admission

I’m not certain if they did or not - I’ve seen CUCV ( or whatever would be the correct lettering ) DRW Ambulances cab chassis with NP-205’s ( I assume there was a need for the PTO port on the case ) but never recall seeing a any CUCV variant with a boom setup that was certainly original.
Good question !
