Pictures of DRW trucks, work’n trucks, etc…

Oh…I helped move a 70’s 3/4 ton 4x4 with a plow from Northern Michigan three hours south. It was a tandem axle being pulled by a modern 1/2 ton with a tow package but the plow was touching the jack and the rear bumper was hanging past the back of the trailer. My friend got it home but it was…interesting. Think it took him 5 hours.

Oooph. Glad yours worked out.

I remember an infamous incident on Steel Soldiers years ago where a guy tried to tow a low mile, minty M1008 home. Ended up losing the trailer which rolled the M1008 and trailer over and wrecked both. Guy was quite worked up about it…

…until he showed the pictures of it and the tow vehicle.

Trailer was a single axle that was shorter than the M1008 front and rear and the tow vehicle was a 90’s F150 single cab shortbed. No load bearing hitch or anything.

We expressed our sympathy but pointed out the problems with his setup. He was not happy and never returned.

I towed my empty car hauler to town one time with a short bed 95 GMC single cab Z71. I was trading off the 95 and for some reason my diesel was at my buddy's place. I said never again. I figured it would be easier to tow the trailer and then put the 95 on the trailer once I hooked up to the dually. that long wheel base extended cab diesel spoiled me.
