Just curious - is that bottom spring u-bolt plate stamped steel or cast ?
And what year model did it come off of ?
I thought the cast ones stopped in ‘72 - just keeping up with useless GM truck trivia…

A few newer style GMT-800 ? ( can’t recall the body/chassis changes after 1998 ) & some GMT-400 trucks.
And of course some more of them fine Square Body style rides !
It looks to be the original cast piece from my 76 CCDRW.
It also has the sway bar.

Cool - I wonder when GM switched to the stamped steel versions ?
I found a ‘76 model SRW C-30 that had what appears to be a cast version as well - except it’s the 3-3/8” tube version instead of the 4” tube version like you should have.
Good point - the pic gets too grainy when I zoom in; and then there’s always my ever failing vision.Looks more like a stamped one
Thought the cast ones had numbers or symbols cast in the bottom
