You can definately fit a 12.50 on those stock rims, I even have done it by hand. it was a tight squeeze pushing the second lip down but it was done.
As the other pics above show, its doable.

I always hand mount 16.5" tires. It is too easy to do, as opposed to paying someone to do it.

No problem. I love the way they look. I prefer OEM wheels to almost all aftermarket wheels. I do like white wagon wheels, but that's about it.

looks to be a good new father son project.most would say as do tire manufacturers,dont put a tire on a rim more thn 4inch difference.but if thats what you got id run it.the stock hubcaps look pretty cool also.not in too bad of shape outside.hows the floor and that look.looks a lot better off the ground.lol.what is the blanket hangin down in the middle of the truck.
 
lmfao....you wasnt suppose to see the blanket....its in the transfercase boot hole.....when i got it it had half tons and no drivetrain .....i get to put what i want in it.....THE FLOORS ARE PERFECT .....NO RUST ANYWHERE BESIDES PASSENGER DOOR ......HERES THE BACK FLOOR

its pretty clean although who had it before me cleaned the carpet with bleach or something and all the carpet in like pinkish.....smart people....so im figureing what im goin to do about that
