OK i still need some more angle on my pinion but any more angle looks to me like it will have the u-bolts too far forward and i fear it will spit the blocks out the rear. is there any other options? or do i need to snip the perches off and roll them and re-weld them?

How many degrees is that shim?

And what's the deal with the second to bottom leaf (i.e. why is it different and shorter than the overload)?

its a rough country add a leaf and they are 5* shims

It depends on how much more angle you need but I would say that 5* is about the biggest shim I would run (which means you probably need to move the perches.

For the record the blocks will probably stay as long as the u-bolts stay tight.

ok i am considereing shaving some angle on the blocks on my end mill. but i was worried they could spit out under an axle wrap. also the top u-bolt plate is already slid against the center pin because of the angle the bolts pull tight to get right. its lookin like time to chop.

forgot all about that option. Hmm then i could eliminate the rear blocks all together............ might be something worth lookin into its cheaper than 4" lift springs
