I did the search but couldn't find the post I was looking for. What is the max for degrees between the pinion ant the x-fer case with a straight driveshaft? Thanks

I seem to recall 15 deg... /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif I'm sure someone will have the correct answer here

Thanks, but I'm actually looking for the max difference between the x-fer and the pinion. example: pinion 10*, x-fer 13*, difference of 3* I'm not looking for driveshaft angle. Thanks for the help so far.

You are correct max diff is supposed mo more than 3*...in my previous post I thought you were referring to total deg's

3* difference will live, but vibrate. Shoot for 0-1. Really.

The exception is with a CV driveshaft.

The pinion should point slightly down from the direct line to the transfer case. That should yield no vibrations...
