While doing a rebuild on my k5 I noticed my pinion on my Dana 60 has a little slop. Very little but it is there. Going to try and just tighten the nut and see how it feels. But if it turns out to be the rear pinion bearing will I have to resetup my gears or can I just swap the bearing and retorque everything?

You can just remove and replace the bearings, no crush sleeve on Chevy D60's. As long as you don't lose the shims (they may be under the outer race of the lower pinion bearing or they may be between the two pinion bearings) the gear setup won't change.

Well it looks like it was just a loose nut. Now I need to get a new pinion seal, washer and nut. So glad the gears and bearings still look good.
