went to change the front pinion seal today,was leaking,took drive shaft off,then grabbed the yoke,and noticed it was real loose,the nut was tight,question is what do i need to do,is there bearings that are wore out,any help ,thanks

Is this rotational play or in/out side/side play?
Rotational play is normal, anything else means the pinion bearings are toast.

Remove hubs, spindles and front axle shafts. Pull the diff cover, mark the bearing caps (they absolutely have to go back in the same side/orientation that they were) and remove the bearing caps and carrier. Remove the pinion nut and put a punch in the little cup on the end of the pinion (DON'T hammer on the end of the pinion, you'll destroy the threads) and tap the pinion out of the housing.
Then you'll need a punch to tap the two outer bearing races out of the housing. Be careful not to nick the housing, if you do you'll need to grind/sand it back flat. There will be shims below the lower pinion bearing outer race, make sure not to damage or lose those, there will also be shims on the pinion itself between the two bearings (these are the ones that set pinion bearing preload). Then you'll need to press the old bearings off, press new ones on and assembly is the opposite of removal.
Remember that any little pieces of dirt or nicks etc. will make a BIG impact on gear setup, gears are a game where thousands of an inch make or destroy a gear setup so be very careful with cleanliness and be carefull not to nick the housing or mess up the shims.
