Is there any other way to get pinion preload without using a in. lb. torque wrench. Iv searched all the local stores, and can't find a dial one, just the clicking one. Could i just tighten it up will it won't freespin anymore or till it freespins 2 turns?

It was suggested over the weekend on here that you use a fishing spring weight. I can see this being a good way of doing it but I have no idea how long the extension from the socket should be to give you the proper torque. Do a search back a few days, see who suggested it (I can't remember) and PM him, see if he knows the correct measurements.
It is actually quite a light spin, but one mans light spin could be another mans burnt out bearing!!!
