Pinion Yoke U-Joint Help

can anyone else attest to this working fine? I am sceptical after what happened already, i dont want to have to go thru a repeat of replacing this tcase again after the driveshaft snapped the tcase in half when the ujoint walked out of the yoke on me!

Is that a 10bolt yoke? Because mine looks just like that the u-joint fits in the driveshaft just fine but not in the yoke.

yeah that is a 10b yoke, its the big 10b yoke and that means it came from a manual transmission truck. it is a 1350 yoke. if you got a K5 then you have stock s44 joints and the part number for the conversion is a precision ujoint 447. works just fine. ill be selling my old shaft if you want it...

Thank's for the help guy's but apparently i am retarded :D I was thinking of the 12blt on my brothers suburban he needs one of those bastard joints.:doah:

My 10blt yoke is the same as kontradictions and does not have the tabs on the yoke. I am also having the same problem with the ujoint walking back and fourth in the yoke. That's why i thought i had the wrong size ujoint but apparently that's not the case i must be missing those clips too.

My old 10b didnt have the tabs. So i used the clips that go on the outside of the cap on the driveshaft, and inner clips on the axle caps. They go on the inner side of the yoke and the clip is to hold it from sliding through the caps. Just find the size you need by taking in your old joint and sizing it all up, then get the joint of that size with 2 outter clips, and 2 inner clips. Works like a charm.
