so i had this old military blazer or truck pintle unit laying around from years ago . and i figured since i could not find my old pintle from years ago why not just make one . now before you say just buy it there cheep ..... this was used parts and a chunk of 3/4" plate off the cut pile at a friends machine shop .

old trailer towing hitch for load dist bars a friend gave me for scrap . the head was worn out so i cut off the solid 2x2 stock .

3/4" plate from the cut pile .

1 pintle swivel hitch .

little machine time to radius corners & pop some holes plus a square for the solid 2x2 to press in . then some time with the BIG mig welder & i now have this nice hitch . i think she got burned in real good . :weld:

best part it swivels so its a drop of around 6" or a lift of around 6" . . . :waytogo:

i dont need one all the time but just nice to have in the collection of towing hitches .
