Piston Repair or new Engine?

Well I am 99.9% sure I have a bad piston ring. My question is is it worth rebuilding just that 1 cylinder or just buy a replacement motor? I am on a very strict budget atm. I have most of the tools to do a engine swap but have never done one before. How hard would a rebuild be compared to an engine swap?

Thanks

Why do you think it's a ring, etc? This will allow us to help you better..

Drop a used motor in it for now and build the one you have. Can you say stroker ??? Yeah buddy, that's what it's all about. Build it the way you want it as you can afford the parts. Some things you may need a local machine shop do, but do everything you can yourself. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
