will a stock ford pitman arm work on a 2wd sector shaft for cross over steering, Im trying to piece together my crossover?

i used a stock 79 ford arm. it is flat. if the arm is flat it will bind on the frame(w/out mods), if it has about a 2" - 3" drop u will prolly be alright.
