Pitnam Arm Tie Rod End Threads

Does any body know if the threads on the pitnam arm tie rod end are left hand threads or right hand threads.

I figured they'd be right hand but I've been unable to bust that tie rod end nut loose yet with a 15/16" hand wrench, or a socket & a two foot breaker bar & I just tried my kick ass snap on 1/2" drive air impact that I've spun pinion yoke nuts off with which should be much harder to do than a tie rod nut.

It does not look rusted and it's a Nevada truck so even the body has 0 rust anywhere. Even so I've soaked the shit out of it with PB Blaster.

I also tried using the impact in both directions, but just a real quick blip back and forth to see if it makes any difference.

I'm reluctant to use the heat wrench or crank up the air pressure or impact anymore until I'm sure if it's RH or LH threads.

I'm trying to replace the leaking gear box and I can't even get started till I get pass this.

thanks in advance

The nut on the tapered ends of the drag links are RH thread--at least every one I've taken off was...my biggest problem was getting the tapered stud out of the pitman arm and steering knuckle, till I discovered my pitman arm puller fit the drag link ends perfect and tightening it and a few hammer whacks popped them right off..

You may end up having to split the nut or cut it off ,but if you use a cheater pipe on a breaker bar it should break free--or off..most likely someone used an impact to tighten it in the past..
