Where is the cheapest place to get a pittman arm. I live in Newfoundland and everything has to be ordered. Oh ya, our money isn't worth crap here. To order it locally I am looking at over $200. On a budget build and buying stuff slowly. Any ideas? :)

Just to be sure, do you need the arm that goes on the steering box?

typically, if your using stock style steering(not crossover), you use a raised steering arm(goes on the axle), and not a drop pitman arm. Pitman arms are usually used on the fords and dodges(IIRC) when they get lifted

if your using the stock style steering, just get a steering arm, my mind is blanking as to exact price but I believe its in the 40-60 range.

thay make a drop pitman arm for are trucks. but most use the rasied arm on the axle. tell use what axle and how much lift you are going to use and we will help you. good luck.

Trying to get ahold of a guy with a military chev pickup sitting along side his garage for about 7 years. I want that for the axles. So right now I have a corp 10 and 12 in the rear. So if I can get his axles I will ask for help then. Thanks.

I have a brand new raised steering arm for 6" lift and new conical washers too. I decided to go to crossover instead. If this will work for ya let me know and we can work out a price. It was ordered through ORD. Still in the box. Its for 10 bolt or Dana 44.

For a 2.5" or 4" lift a dropped pitman arm is the best method of steering correction. A raised steering arm works well with a 6" lift.

:wink1:

I've got a drop pitman you can have for $50usd plus shipping. Here is a photo of dropped vs stock.

I need help on this issue too. I just did the 52" springs up front. I'm getting about 4.5 " lift and need to figure the cheapest and safest way to hook up the steering. I'm new to all this, and am a bit confused by all the different terms. Basically, my front axle has moved forward about 4" and that combined with the lift is way off for hooking up the steering. Your help is appreciated.

I beg to differ. When I lfted mine 4" I used the eenclosed steering arm and I ended up with moderate bumpsteer. I did a little searching and come to find that for a 2.5 to 4 inch lift a dropped pitman arm is best. Steering arms are for 6 inches or more. I bought the dropped pitman arm from Superlift just like the one on the pics above and my bumpsteer went away.. :wink1:

Ok I'm feeling cheap and easy today. $75.00 US dollars includes shipping.

Raised steering arm for 6" lift with new conical washers. Washers alone are $12.00 a piece thru the dealer. Let me know.
