i searched and searched for a rock slider picture on the pick up truck and cant seem to find any. anyone have a picture of the rock sliders on the pick up with a box on it, not flat bed. thanks

there arent many. I think there might be one or two people here that have built some. there are a lot of mounting issues when using a pickup because the bed is seperate from the cab and the saddle tanks. most of the ones Ive seen were frame mounted but those still cause some issues.

bummer! thats what i was trying to figure out cause of the bed. i dont want to run flatbed yet:crazy:

yeah Ive got the same problem. Ive been searching on here and trying to come up with my own idea for a long time and havent found a good solution yet. but I may end up with a flat bed soon, havent made up my mind though.

my rockers are rottened out so i want to do something abt that, my dad got some 2 by 3 tubes and 4 by 4 tubes from work, so i want to do something abt it, but if theres nothing for the pick up i gotta think of something, maybe space between the cab and the bed. but it might look kinda funny?? what u think?

I dont really think a space between the cab and bed would look bad but the part on the bed wouldnt add much strength unless you addes some braces that ran from the slidder to the bed floor supports, which was one thing I thought about doing. I also considered just attaching the bed to the cab and hoping I never had to take one or the other off.

another thing to think about is just doing the slider on the cab. wouldnt offer any protection for the bed but it would cure your rust problem and protect the cab.

personally I think the best idea would be to make them seperate like you mentioned but find a way to strengthen the bed portion of the slider.

hmm.. i might try that n see how it looks. for now i will defentily throw away my rockers for that. thanks man. but if anyone has a pic post it up pls. thanks in advance.
