I bought this plastic fuel tank a couple of months ago from http://www.mtscompany.com/ . It's the model #2231A if you want to take a look at it. It's been a great fuel tank but the only drawback is that I don't think it has adequate baffling for my TBI engine. If I get down to the lower 3/8ths of the fuel tank, it will start to cut out on me around turns. This is annoying and I've decided to sell it as long I can get some money for it. It does have a "ramp system" in the bottom to prevent this problem but, like I said, I don't think it's effective enough for the TBI.

Now, if I had an '82-'86 K5 then I would be keeping it since, aside from what I've said above, it's a great tank and will never rust out. It's actually really heavy duty too (plastic is probably around 1/4" thick). For those of you that live up north or near the ocean this would be an excellent tank.

I'm merely gauging interest in the tank and if anyone would be interested, I'll buy a new tank and mail this one to you.

Since this tank new is $170 (and this one is in near new condition, no cuts, holes, leaks, scrapes, rust haha), I would like to get $75+ actual shipping.

Thanks,

Wes

Trade ya for a tbi tank?

Is it a stock or aftermarket? I replaced my stock tank with this plastic one because the stock tank baffle was plastic and came off the bottom of the tank which messed with the sender. The newer aftermarket tanks have a metal baffle that is welded to the bottom so it won't do that.

Thanks,

Wes

NOOOOOOOO, I requoted myself for emphasis, so you would know that you were in line behind me, and I believe I was behind someone else. That's all.

Any updates?

54 inches, I'm looking to get the brand new aftermarket tank with the metal baffle since I had problems with the stock tank.

Like I said in the first post, I'm just gauging interest for now since I havent even bought the new tank. Being one of my primary vehicles, I have to get the new tank in before I can sell the old tank. This should happen soon but I'm unable to make any guarantees on the date. I assure you guys that you will be the first ones contacted once it's ready to be shipped and if you are still in the market for my tank then I would be glad to sell it to you.

Thanks so much,

Wes
