The black ones that turn gray as time and sun wear on them.

I've tried the back to black without much success, and 303 with decent success.

What have you used with great success to bring back the black and keep it that way for a considerable amount of time?

Good question Dave!

Kate waxed the plastic on her Cummins when I was doing the rust repair and I was not knowing what she was up to... She didn’t know, but crap! That wax on black plastic looks like shit! And it’s not easy though get off. Lol! :doah:
Apparently Dawn dish soap and a toothbrush works on wax. But holy fock! Nice!

Not what your asking? But might be helpful to me too if anyone has a remedy for bringing back the new look.

Dawn works great for removing most waxes and silicone based products....I always wash with it before any sanding and paint work, and also wet sand with it.

I don’t know if this still correct but years ago we used a heat shrink gun. The heat would turn the surface from gray back to black.

The last 2 posts beat me to it. If the color has not turned too much, the heat will work. Repaint with good prep is what we did for dealership cars.
