Plastic covers on back of seats

what holds the plastic covers on the back of the bucket seats?

I put screws in but there is nothing for the screws to grab to...

I knew there was a reason I kept the good seat from my 73 will try to look in the am

Should be some metal behind there to grab onto. Unless it stripped out. Mine tighten in ok. I never took it off though either. Just pulled it from the jy.
