I know thay dont seem very pratical but who is running plastic seats...im thinking about running them because i love to play in the mud and im not running any doors or top so it will be sitting in the weather...i sat in a buddies of mines and it didnt seem to bad...i wasnt going down the road though...would love some suspention seats but i will just ruin them...

I had/have them in the truggy. They are ok but would hate to ride in them for more than a little while at a time.

I recently put a set in a solo II mustang. the seats are already seperating from the mounting bosses after one event. I was thinking they'd do ok in my truck, until I had a numb ass in 10 minutes and the seats tried to rip off their mounts.

i like thoose but if im gonna run fabric seats then im just gonna run the ones i have...they will get ruined i play in mud mostly...

Just buy one a little steam cleaner, and clean the seat up after every run, if you don't grind the mud in and wear the fabric out, it'll last for a while.

if you get the plastic seats also get the padded seat covers. You can always take the covers off and stick them in the wash. Are those the seats Summit sells? if so then they are the same ones that I have

I have a set in a samurai daily driver. They are not comfortable for long drives. They are hot as hell during the summer. They are cold as hell during the winter. I own beard ultra suspension seats and those seats are the bomb. I would opt to have a set of PRPs, Beards, Mastercrafts or whatever made with Vinyl instead of cloth outerskins. This way they can be wiped off.

The plastic seats are cool but they are best left for budget rigs that you don't spend hours of seat time in. At least that's my opinion.

Here are my PRP Seats. Daily Driver Model. They do make these in vinyl or with covers. You won't find a more comfortable seat for the $240 each price. Not a bad price but I considered safety and comfort first.:D DSCN0412.JPG

I have the summit seats in mine. (same as Jegs but they have 2 holes for the upper harness part).
I have the covers for them. I cal ride all day and there fine. Last night I added some 1.5" padding under my covers last night and they are WAYYY more comfortable, close to prp etc..

I just throw those big black garbage bags over my seats, fits perfectly and cant beat the price. It doesnt cover the bottom where you sit but you could easily enough. Not the most luxurious solution but you cant really tell their there when you sit down

do you have the plastic ones with covers???

I've been running them for a few years. I don't have the padded covers but for day trips they're pretty comfortable. If you're getting banged up on the trail you can really feel it that night back at camp.

Mine arent exactly what I would call "plastic" more or less dust tape, when the truck gets dirty just take the top off and hose er out, and just carry an extra roll if your seat rips tape er up and if you want to get really fancy just put it sticky side up and no seat belts needed (just kidding)

I like not worrying about messing them up as I leave my rig out in the weather all the time. Just wipe out the seats and go. I should have gotten the slider adjusters also, because I had an auto when I installed them now I have the manual. Also its tough for someone not my same height to drive. However, Tellico beats me to death. I've been thinking of going with something alittle softer and putting those in the back.
