Play in Dana 60 Pinion shaft (Video Attached).

Hey fellas.

Popped the yoke off my 60 and noticed the pinion shaft has some vertical and horizontal movement.

I know the 60 Pinion doesn't have a pilot on the end like a 14FF does so I'm thinking what I have going on is acceptable.

with no yoke bolted on and no pressure on the bearings to be seated you WILL have play .

but this dosnt mean there will be no play .

fix what ever you were doing and torque the nut to spec and re-check for play .

Got a boogered up yoke and leaky pinion seal that I need to swap out.
