I find it strange they use 7/8" thread tie rod ends on a D60..
My '82 K2500 had two choices of tie rod ends--a pair listed for all except 4:10 ratio that were 7/8" thread,or a "heavy duty with 4:10 ratio" that have 1" threads..
Since I decided to replace the whole assembly with new,I went with the 1" version ,they are the same taper and the listings say you can use the 1" ones for heavy duty use
..(I doubt my truck has 4:10 gears, and the tie rods I remeved were the 7/8" ones)..
The drag link ends have a larger taper on the stud compared to the tie rods..I wonder if someone already reamed your knuckles to fit that bigger size ?..
