Alright heres my plan I've got two old ford trucks in my backyard (49 and a 51) i Plan to get a 4wd frame swap on the cab, weld the front clip together and make it a tilt. Buff off the rust and shoot some color on. Build a stake bed and run boggers.:D

Anyway back to reality. I do have two old fords and would like to have something to screw around with and work on w/o worrying about getting it back together in time for work.

Basically my question is if you were on a budget, what frame and driveline would you start off with? I was leaning towards a wrecked solid axle toyota, with the 22r.

This will be a toy ONLY minimal onroad use.

EDIT* i was at a yard the other day and the guy there told my i could get this j2000 4wd stick sfa for $450. Any opions there?
