So spent the day getting ready for the Shackle Flip! Taking STUCK bolts out, poppin rivets for the first time! At the end of one side here comes the bad news!

The Bolts from ORD don't fit through the Frame!

**UPDATE** Read that you need to drill larger holes on the ORD website. Need to pick up a new BIT!

The washer's show 7/16th. The bolt holes look to be 3/8th's. Did anyone have to drill into their frame for the install? Guess its not a big deal but I will have to get a 7/16th's bit.

Yes sir. I had them same problem when I installed my flip. I was surprised that it was an issue because they have always been so good with everything else.

Reading instructions after attempting a procedure is due to a gene on the Y chromosome.
If you have a Y chromosome, it's not your fault.

It's actually your dad's fault. So relax. Both of you.

LMAO!!! :haha:

Everyone runs 7/16s when they replace frame rivets. It's even in the shackle flip writeup on this site. ORD didn't do anything weird, they followed with the rest of the GM community.

... could that be because the product review is actually about the ORD product...:doah:
Looks to me as they were leading, not following...:wink1:

Chicken or the egg?

For decades everyone I've ridden with has replaced rivets with bigger bolts because rivets are harder metal and generally don't have enough strength to begin with (I've seen a lot of rivets work their way loose).
