This is a 1970 k5 blazer with a double wall top. There seems to be something missing on the front on the top where the top meets the door glass. I know there's a seal that's suppose to attach there but is there suppose to be a guide for the seal or does it just glue on?

I think we'll need to see more pics of the entire K5 to get a better understanding of what you are talking about

I have a single wall and it's not on the truck, but there is a channel for my weather strip. Here is a close up picture of mine:

Hopefully someone with experience with a double wall top will be able to chime in.

In searching the internet it looks like from the factory t-clips were used to hold the double wall weather strip to the top. The correct double wall weather strip should be different then the single wall, as it is reinforced to hold the clips.

Most guys seem to use the 3M weatherstrip adhesive and the clips to put it on their double wall tops. One guy also mentioned getting the right sized push in clips from Napa for the holes (1/4" inch is what was said) and just cutting down the head to fit in the weatherstrip channel.

wow guys thanks for the fast replies! You guys are on it!

See mine is double wall and from my research it doesn't seem like there is a channel for a double wall top. The "channel" is only for single walls??? Would you happen to know where I could buy that channel?!?!?

Hmmmm interesting... so do you know where to get the double wall reinforced weatherstripping? I'm pretty sure the lmc stuff is single wall, I have it and it is NOT reinforced.

You are right. As far as I can tell it was only on single wall tops. I don't know if it would fit well on a double wall top (couldn't find anywhere online that someone verified it worked). I also couldn't fine reproduction parts for it, so my guess is finding some at a junkyard, parts hoarder or on a parts wanted forum like on this site would be the best place to find them. Though I don't see a bunch of parts offered here for sale, sometimes guys have random parts in their collections and are willing to part with them.

I found the specific double wall seal on gmcpauls:
http://gmcpauls.com/blazer1.htm
Part number: 326450

But didn't see the t-clips (it calls it a kit, so maybe they are included?).

I think I would email/call them before I bought it though, so you don't wind up with two parts you don't need.

You can definitely check with LMC Truck or Brothers. I'd try LMC first because they have a complete book specifically for Blazers/Suburbans and it has a parts break down for all years....
I know its a bit generic answer but seriously, I'm looking at the magazine right now and they have everything except lift kits and solid rear window glass (as opposed to sliders) I think, lol.
They have a digital version and its ok to search through but nothing gave me the satisfaction quite like going through and circling all the stuff for my wish list.

Get it from gmc Paul's. My weatherstrip came with nubs on the back that pushes into the holes in the top to keep it in place. Then 3m adhesive to hold the rest in place Inbetween those nubs. I'd give them a call and see what they say about it. Mine came from eBay vender though. I have bought a couple things from gmc Paul's and there is a better quality to their stuff. Weatherstrip included in that. They get the
Weatherstrip from precision company and is much better than the Chinese Lmc stuff.
