Please help if possible

Hi CK5 people...........I have an 89 K5 that I just rebuilt the engine on . everything on the engine is after market with the exception of the block and crank . I had a guy on ebay burn me a new chip for the ecm matching my engine specs . now the SES light is on and my scanner says there's no power going to the ALDL plug thus not communicating with the scanner . the truck runs but turns off. any help is greatly appreciated .
