I recently purchased a 86 k2500 Suburban 4x4 with a 350.The brakes are leaking badly.I am removing the height sensitive proportioning valve on the rear cause it leaks and I am going to lift it anyhow.(Has anyone else done this and what did you do?)But my question is this...How can I find out what kind of brake system I have?The dealer told me it was in the glovebox on the option tag and should be a code with a J in it.The tag is there but no "J".I need a booster and M/C but I can't get it without knowing which brake system I have.
