Here is the problem. Ever since I owned my 79 c10 in highchool I have loved 73-87 chevys. I got back into them building a 84 K10 for my cousin that I now own, see sig. I started to rock crawl with it but since it was my dd I looked for a 3/4 ton to wheel. I found a 73 3/4. Then I found a 78 c10 with a 454 and swapped it in the 73. Then I broke the 3/4s 44 front so I bought a 79 K 30 and put the 454 in it. I also in the mean time bought a 77 c30 for the 454. I haven't sold any of the trucks so I have what? 5 of them? Now my father in law wants to trade me a super nice 85 k5 thats been converted to full convert for a 95 monte I have. The wife says the k20/k30 have to go (kinda rough but what to you want for wheeling). So what do I do? I have always wanted a full convert to go the lake and pull the boat, road trip in the summer etc. Do I pull all the axles swap k30 stuff in my k10 and put the k10 axles in the k5 and sell the rest for iron? Do I just do it anyway and live in the dog house? Divorce her?

I wont comment on the wife issues, but will say have the full convertable would be killer. Anything outside of that is gravy.

Full vert would be nice... just figure out what you really want to D/D and wheel, keep the 1 ton drive trains and the motors, and sell the rest.:waytogo:

Nothing to do with the wife but reduce your collection down to running and used trucks, no use having a bunch if you can't do anything with them.
If you have the space pull the good parts and store them and junk the rest, if you don't have the space, use the parts you need and sell everything else.
I still have 18 vehicles because I held on to them for som long, it's so hard for me to let go, I am down from 28 but I have a long ways to my goal.
The wife came when I already had the 28 so she didn't quite like it but she's happy I am reducing and getting cash for them.
I will be happy with just a car for me, a family vehicle, her car and a truck for work and a truck for fun.
The family vehicle might be one of the trucks ideally.

Getting rid of one truck now. Trading a crew cab for the 73 3/4. I was always going to put a crew on the k30. The 77/78 c10/c30 are going to become pickup trailers. This would get me down to 2 trucks but still no blazer.

Don't tell him that, I get parts from him . . .

I say keep Hank, and get rid of the red one.

Hey here's your solution, he can give you what he can't keep.
2 problems solved without creating a 3rd by getting rid of the red one:rolleyes:
Assuming that is the wife:p:

No, she would be the brunette one (with horses . . . . . . ).

Martin

NO she has her own truck. 06 k1500 crew with a vortec max. I alternate between the k10 and the k30. I have lots of room for parts and that has always been the plan but time holds me up. Maybe I just need to call in favors and buy a few cases of beer.
